I have moments when I want to cook so much. Then there’s other moments when I drag my feet so much that cooking is out of the question. Tonight, I wanted to cook. I wanted something easy and this popped into my mind. I wanted something good. Unfortunately, I had an unwanted visitor from my past which totally ruined my appetite. I never understand people. It’s so weird. Enough about that though, it doesn’t even deserve acknowledgement.
I like this recipe, because it’s so simple. It makes it where I can multi task and it takes very little time. I used thin cut chicken breasts. It literally took 15 minutes and dinner was served. If you give this a try- let me know! I’d be interested to see how you like it. Coop LOVED it!
2 tablespoons canola oil
salt and pepper
2 tablespoons chopped garlic
2 tablespoons all purpose flour
3/4 cups white wine
1 cup chicken broth
3/4 teaspoons dried thyme
2 tablespoons butter
Put oil in a dutch oven. Salt and pepper the chicken. Place in dutch oven and brown. Once browned remove from pan and place in a plate. Put garlic in pan until browned. Mix in the flour and stir. Put in the chicken broth. Once thickened, add back the chicken and pour juices into pan. Cover and cook until chicken is done all the way through. Add white wine and cook until thickened. Add thyme and butter. Serve.
