It’s been a long day. The last month everyone has been sick in the house. Every other week someone has a cold and we just keep passing it around. I had enough. I decided I was going to get rid of any germs this house might have. Today was perfect for that. I opened the windows, i washed everything, vacuumed the mattresses….sprayed it all down with Lysol…and tomorrow I am going to wash the curtains and the blankets. I think that it’ll be the best way to rid our lives of the germs. We’ve been preparing our house for our new life journey.
I just want the house to be perfect. I want to feel like my home is complete. That’s the downfall about not doing the things you want to do to your home before you move in. It sometimes gets pushed aside and those things do not get completed. I just can not wait to share with you guys the excitement that’s coming our way. Sadly, until the end I’m legally not allowed to share. Until then, pray for us. We want this to work out whatever God’s will may be. Now let’s get cooking! Enjoy this comfort food! It’s SOOO GOOD.
4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
5 tablespoons butter
3 tablespoons flour
1 teaspoon salt (this can DEF be cut down!)
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 teaspoon thyme leaves
1 teaspoon sage
2 1/2 cups milk
1 tablespoon parsley
Brown chicken in a large skillet in 2 tablespoons butter. Remove chicken. Place in a baking dish. Mix together the flour and all seasonings. Add melted butter and stir for several minutes with a wire whisk. Slowly add warm milk to flour mixture. Stir until slightly thickened. Pour over chicken. Cover and bake 325 for 50 minutes. (I did 350 for 25 minutes)!
