My kid loves this chex mix. However, the original recipe calls for dried apples which HE HATES. He says they taste funny and the texture throws him off. One day when I first started making this recipe, the store was out of the dried apples, so I did the next best thing, which was the apple chips. Ever since then, he insists I can’t use the dried apples. Great snack for my littlest guy!!

5 Cups Corn Chex Cereal

1/ 4 Cups Butter

1/3 Cups Brown Sugar

2 Tablespoons Karo Syrup

1 teaspoon cinnamon

1 cup chopped apple chips

1/2 Cups Vanilla yogurt covered raisins

In a large microwavable bowl add cereal. Separately microwave butter, sugar, karo syrup, and cinnamon until boiling. Pour over cereal. Stir until evenly coated. Microwave 3 minutes, scraping bowl every minute. Stir in apples, microwave 1 minute. Spread on wax paper. Cool for 5 minutes. Add raisins.
