We recently went on vacation and went to many places, including New York City. I was so excited for several reasons. First off, my husband who is a veteran has been dying to go to the 9/11 Museum. This really molded what he would do in his future. It really was a special time and I’m glad we were able to do this trip. Anyway, when we were on this trip we stayed close to the museum so that we could easily just walk. It turned out that we didn’t arrive until right at 10pm the night of arrival. We knew this would happen, considering that we drove all the way from the southern part of the United States. We were STARVING! We decided that we were just going to go ahead and get delivery if we could find a pizza place open. We decided that we’d get food from a place called Little Italy. It was less than a mile from where we were staying and they were open.
This was the first time we’d had the opportunity to eat PIZZA from New York. Everyone was super excited. Unfortunately, it wasn’t exactly what we expected. The pizza was good, but it is definitely something I’d be ok if I never ate it again. Also the amount of time it took to get to us was crazy. It was pretty much cold by the time we got it. I felt really sorry for the delivery guy, who delivered on a bike. It was rainy. It was so bad that from the car to the front door which is less than 200 feet I was soaked. I sure hope he didn’t get soaked going back. In the end, Thank you to Little Italy. You saved us from starvation and your pizza is great….just not what we here in the south are used to eating!
