Macaroni Casserole

img_1020.jpg

My boys LOVE mac and cheese. When I tell them we are having it they ask, no demand, for baked mac and cheese. Honestly, I never really mind because it’s so much easier to make. Every time I make it, my little bit will beg to take left overs for lunch the next day at school. Usually, my husband and I both also have the left overs for lunch. That is how good it is! Give it a try!

What you need:

16 oz of Colby jack (or your favorite cheese)

small box of macaroni noodles

small can of evaporated milk

salt and pepper

1 egg

It’s important to boil your water and add salt to taste. You should do this with any pasta you cook. When your water begins to boil add your noodles and stir to prevent sticking. Once noodles are cooked, drain them. Here you are going to layer the cheese and noodles. Starting with the noodles first. Mix egg, milk, and a little pepper to taste. Pour over the top. Bake 350 degrees until browned on top. Remove and enjoy!
